  • Is Calvine High School a public school?

Yes. Calvine High School is a public school within the Elk Grove Unified School District. It is a referral-based continuation high school, meaning students are placed through the district referral process rather than through walk-in enrollment.
As a school of choice, enrollment is based on an agreement between the student, parent/guardian, and school outlining expectations for attendance, behavior, and academic progress. Continued enrollment is dependent on meeting these expectations, and placement may be reviewed if the terms of the agreement are not met.
